IUP Marching Band 100-Year Celebration

You are invited to a special reunion celebrating 100 years of the IUP Marching Band. Join us November 4-6, 2022 to participate in the alumni band halftime performance and attend the alumni reception and dinner. Be there as we debut Sustaining Grace, a documentary produced and created by marching band alumni, Mary Megna '81 and Jarrell Verbecken '18. It tells the story of the marching band's historical journey with the beloved song, "Amazing Grace."  The host committee hopes to see you there for this monumental occasion!

3:00 PM - 6:00 PM		 Alumni Rehearsal
Location: TBD

Friday rehearsals are required for the Saturday performance. Purchase of performance attire required. Music will be provided via an email link. Please ensure your email address is up to date. Instruments will not be provided by the university, however host committee members will try their best to help secure an instrument. Flags will be provided to the visual ensemble.

Join us for an alumni reception at the KCAC. The menu will consist of caprese skewers, pasta forks with meatballs, shrimp cocktail shooters, stuffed sweet peppers, chocolate covered strawberries, beer, wine, coffee, and water. Cost: $20 per person

A walking tour of campus led by IUP Ambassadors will depart the KCAC stadium side promptly at 10:00 a.m. The tour will last approximately one hour.

Relive your marching band days and cheer on the Crimson Hawks as they take on Clarion. Game tickets are required to gain access to the stadium and will be provided to you compliments of the Office of Alumni and Constituent Engagement and the IUP Alumni Association. If you are performing with the halftime show, Friday evening rehearsal and a fleece jacket purchase are required.

Join us for an evening of memories and remarks in celebration of 100 years of the IUP Marching Band. The highlight of the evening will be the debut of Sustaining Grace, a documentary produced and created by marching band alumni, Mary Megna '81  and Jarrell Verbecken '18. It tells the story of  the marching band's historical journey with the beloved song "Amazing Grace."  Cost: $40 per person
